Our Story
Dave Lyon Towing & Repair began in 1974 with Dave Lyon, hard work, and a simple belief: when someone needed help, you showed up.
Over the next five decades, Dave built more than a towing and repair business. He built relationships with local families, farmers, businesses, trucking companies, law enforcement, and fellow towing professionals throughout Underwood, Council Bluffs, Southwest Iowa, the Omaha area, and along the I-80 corridor.
Todd joined Dave in the early 1990s and spent nearly three decades working beside him, learning the business and the standards Dave expected his name to represent.
After Dave passed away unexpectedly in 2020, his family made the decision to carry forward what he had built. Today, Kelle and Todd continue the company with another generation of the family involved.
The equipment has changed and the capabilities have grown, but the principles behind the name have not.
We believe trust is earned and experience matters. Whether we're helping someone stranded along I-80, working an accident scene, recovering a loaded semi, transporting equipment, or repairing a customer's vehicle, we know the name on our trucks represents more than a business.
It represents more than 50 years of showing up when people need us.
